Dr. Venkat Gutta
Dr. Gutta moved to the US from India in 2002 to further his education. He completed the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam and earned a Master’s degree in Animal Science in Georgia. After finishing clinical rotations at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Gutta obtained license to practice in Florida.
For more than a decade, Dr. Gutta served as an associate veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital. There he gained a great deal of experience in surgeries for soft tissue injuries, and in performing high-quality veterinary medicine. He became known for a personable manner and patience in educating clients on pet health issues. Dr. Gutta takes special interest in feline and canine medicine with wellness examinations, preventive care, senior pet wellness, nutritional counseling, endocrine cases, skin issues, and behavioral problems.
Dr. Gutta stays current with veterinary advances through membership in American Veterinary Medical Association and Jacksonville Veterinary Medical Society.
Dr. Gutta joined San Marco Animal Hospital, so that his wife, Dr. Sri could practice part-time while focusing on raising their three children. When Dr. Gutta is not at the Animal Hospital, he embraces time with family and his own pets. He enjoys tennis, swimming, gardening, and other outdoor activities in Florida’s sunny climate.
